Alana Mota
Storyteller, Canada Celebrates Folklore, Ukraine
A third generation Ukrainian-Canadian, Alana Mota is an active member of the local diaspora. An event coordinator at Concordia University in Montreal, her enthusiasm for community engagement has driven her to hold numerous volunteer roles including with the Montreal Ukrainian Festival, the Concordia Ukrainian Students’ Union and Plast Ukrainian Scouting Organization. Her background includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Management from Concordia University, as well as a Post-Graduate Certificate in Sport and Event Marketing from George Brown College. From 2017 to 2018, Alana worked in cultivation fundraising events at the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada national office located in Toronto. Having recently returned from nearly a year-long trip across the globe, Alana is enthusiastic about diversity and culture.
